TVRMobile – PRIVACY NOTICE

This Mobile application is released by Carrier Fire & Security EMEA B.V., as the Data Controller, with its head office located at De Kleetlaan, 3, 1831 Diegem, Belgium. You can contact us via email: Privacy[@]carrier.com for any question regarding your privacy.

Carrier Corporation and its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, “CARRIER”), including Carrier Fire & Security EMEA B.V., are responsible for the mobile application and are committed to protecting the privacy of those who use it. CARRIER has implemented technical, administrative, and physical measures to safeguard any Personal Information that we may collect (Personal Information is defined as “Information and data that is related to any identified or identifiable natural person “).

At the sole initiative of CARRIER, this Privacy notice may be updated from time to time. If you have objections to the changes, email Privacy[@]carrier.com.

1. WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DOES CARRIER COLLECT?

The only Personal Information that Carrier will collect is the dynamic IP address of users who want to access the recorder over a mobile network with TVRMobile (or a PC over the internet). The ezDDNS service stores the dynamic IP address that a user is using for the recorder with an ezDDNS host name (ex. MyRecorder). As CARRIER also stores the name of the recorder, CARRIER might process additional Personal Information, depending on the name you assign to such recorder (e.g., Last Name’s recorder).

2. HOW DOES CARRIER USE THE PERSONAL INFORMATION IT COLLECTS?

CARRIER needs to process the dynamic IP address for when the mobile application wants to connect to ‘MyRecorder’. In such case, the ezDDNS service will translate that name into an IP address, and the mobile application can connect to the recorder. If the internet service provider changes the dynamic IP address for that user, the recorder will inform the ezDDNS service that he has a new dynamic IP address and that address is then linked again to ‘MyRecorder’.

Other than that and except where used to fulfil a legal obligation, our use of your Personal Information will be only for legitimate business interests as set out below. Any Personal Information collected will only be used to:

  • communicate with you about products, services, and events relating to CARRIER;
  • improve our products, services, software and applications;
  • verify your identity to ensure security for one of the other purposes listed here;
  • ensure or enhance the security of CARRIER’s electronic systems;

If you do not want your information transferred to other legal entities or transnationally, including to countries that may not have been deemed “adequate” by the European Union, please do not provide us with Personal Information.
